Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for a Contract to Hire with a client in Fairport, NY. The ideal candidate with a strong background in First Article Inspections (FAI), precision measurement, and manufacturing quality processes.

Rate Range: $25/Hour to $33/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Quality Assurance Technician Job Responsibilities include:

  • Perform and document First Article Inspections (FAI) to ensure products meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

  • Conduct receiving and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment.

  • Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to verify product compliance and identify quality concerns.

  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, maintain accurate quality records, and communicate inspection findings to relevant stakeholders.

  • Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities by managing inspection transactions and coordinating daily correspondence with cross-functional teams.

  • Investigate and escalate quality issues, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, technical certification, or Associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience performing quality inspections in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and product specifications.

  • Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).

Pay Details: $25.00 to $33.00 per hour
