Quality Assurance TechnicianPosition Summary
Employnet is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented
Quality Assurance Technician to support our food manufacturing operations. The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for monitoring production processes, inspecting products, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring that food safety and quality standards are consistently met.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform quality inspections throughout the production process to ensure products meet company and customer specifications.
- Monitor production lines for product appearance, weight, temperature, labeling, packaging, and overall quality.
- Collect and test product samples according to established procedures.
- Verify critical quality and food safety control points, including temperatures, weights, and measurements.
- Complete QA forms, inspection reports, production records, and quality logs accurately and on time.
- Identify, document, and communicate product defects, deviations, and non-conformances.
- Assist with investigations and corrective actions related to quality and food safety concerns.
- Conduct inspections of equipment, production areas, ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products.
- Verify product labels, lot codes, dates, allergen information, and packaging requirements.
- Ensure production employees follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation procedures, and food safety policies.
- Assist with pre-operational, sanitation, and environmental inspections.
- Place products on hold when quality or food safety requirements are not met and follow established procedures for disposition.
- Work closely with Production, Sanitation, Warehouse, and Management teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all required documentation is completed and properly maintained.
- Assist with internal and external audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow applicable HACCP, SQF, FDA, USDA, and company food safety and quality requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in quality assurance, food manufacturing, production, or a related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues.
- Ability to read and follow written procedures, specifications, and safety requirements.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift as required for the position.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, or overtime as needed.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent, or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination
of education and/or experience.
