Are you a hands‑on Quality Assurance leader ready to step into a high‑impact role in a fast‑paced, USDA‑regulated food manufacturing environment? We’re seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead a team of 12 QA Technicians on night shift (4 PM – 2 AM) at a long‑established, high‑volume facility in Lake Crystal, Minnesota.

This is a demanding but rewarding leadership role—ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, compliance‑driven environment and is ready to grow into management. Candidates must be willing to work six, and at times seven, days per week during peak season.


⭐ What You’ll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of 12 QA Technicians, Product Hold Coordinators, and MRB Coordinators
  • Investigate product complaints and respond to vendor or customer inquiries
  • Adjust work procedures to meet testing schedules and production demands
  • Provide technical direction on QA processes, testing methods, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and recommend test procedures for raw materials and finished products
  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and ongoing employee development
  • Drive continuous improvement using key performance indicators
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, supporting technicians in troubleshooting
  • Oversee implementation of quality standards, programs, and processes to reduce waste and HOLD product
  • Train employees in SOPs, GMPs, and ensure training effectiveness
  • Participate on plant teams including HACCP, SQF, and other food safety programs
  • Direct special test procedures to analyze components and physical properties
  • Maintain knowledge of new QA technologies, processes, and regulatory changes
  • Maintain time, testing, and monthly reporting records
  • Monitor QA final acceptance, Product Hold, and MRB performance and implement improvements
  • Develop, justify, and implement QA process improvements
  • Compile and analyze test information to determine operating efficiency

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma required (Degree strongly preferred)
  • 3+ years of QA experience in a food processing facility
  • Minimum 1 year as a QA Supervisor, or 4 years as a QA Lead
  • USDA experience highly desired
  • HACCP experience required
  • SQF experience a plus
  • Union experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to work 10–12 hour shifts and at least 6 days per week during peak season
