Key Responsibilities

  • Perform first article, receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Inspect machined/molded components against engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and external standards.
  • Use micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, Go/No-Go gauges, optical comparator, height/depth gauges, concentricity gauges, pull/torque testers, and programmable/custom inspection equipment.
  • Perform dimensional, visual, functional, and attribute inspections according to validation protocols and controlled inspection plans.
  • Generate and maintain First Article Reports (FAIR), Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), QA history logs, inspection records, and quality documentation.
  • Identify out-of-specification products and support containment, segregation, rework/reprocess, disposition, and scrap control.
  • Maintain product-on-hold/quality-hold status and traceability.
  • Record inspection data accurately and maintain complete objective evidence and traceable records.
  • Verify inspection equipment calibration/verification status before use.
  • Work with Manufacturing, Materials, Engineering, and Quality teams to reduce defects and rejections.
  • Prepare daily quality reports and perform basic MS Office/Excel/Word/Outlook data entry and documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3+ years of applicable quality inspection experience
  • Strong ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Hands-on experience with dimensional inspection equipment.
  • Experience with first article, receiving, in-process, and final inspection.
  • Ability to accurately document inspection results and identify nonconformances.
  • Understanding of calibration, measurement equipment, traceability, and product segregation.
