Job Category: Temp to Hire
Location: Saint Charles, Mo
Shift: Monday-Friday 6:30 am until 3:00 pm OT as needed
Compensation:$ 22.00-$28.00 an hour

Responsibilities of Quality Assurance Professional:
  • Perform incoming, first-article, in-process, and final inspection of PCBAs, components, and related assemblies.
  • Inspect solder joints, component placement, polarity, cleanliness, labeling, and workmanship to IPC-A-610 (Class 2 typical; Class 3 when specified).
  • Support and interpret AOI results; verify escapes, set dispositions, and feed clear defect data back to the line.
  • Review assembly drawings, BOMs, travelers, ECOs, and work instructions against the physical product.
  • Identify, quarantine, and document nonconforming material; initiate and follow NCR process.
  • Support root-cause and corrective action with Production and Engineering.
  • Maintain inspection records, lot traceability, and quality metrics used for internal reviews and customer requests.
  • Audit ESD, process, and workmanship practices on the floor and escalate repeat issues.
  • Assist with internal audits, customer visits, and compliance evidence for UL and other certifications as assigned.
  • Calibrate or verify inspection tools on schedule and keep gages in control.
  • Train operators on inspection criteria and common defect modes when asked by the Quality Manager.
  • Flag drawing, process, or supplier issues instead of passing product that does not meet the spec.

Requirements of Quality Assurance Professional: 
  • High school diploma or GED; associate degree or technical certificate in electronics, quality, or manufacturing preferred.
  • At least 2 years of quality, inspection, or electronics manufacturing experience (PCBA / EMS strongly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 workmanship criteria and the ability to call accept / reject consistently.
  • Ability to read assembly drawings, BOMs, travelers, and English procedures.
  • Comfortable with magnification, microscopes, calipers, and basic inspection tools.
  • Accurate written documentation and basic computer skills (Excel, email, and an ERP traveler system).
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work a production shift, including overtime when ship dates require it.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age. Must pass pre-employment screening consistent with company policy (background check and drug screen).
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Current or prior IPC-A-610 CIS or CIT certification.
  • IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-600, or IPC-7711/7721 exposure.
  • Hands-on AOI programming or AOI review experience.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, UL file maintenance, medical device or other regulated electronics.
  • Familiarity with NCR, CAPA, first-article, and supplier quality.
  • ASQ CQI or CQT, or equivalent quality training.
  • Prior work in contract electronics manufacturing in the St. Louis metro area.
