Company: Spencer Composites, a wholly owned subsidiary of X-Bow Systems, Inc.Location: Sacramento, CA (On-Site)Position Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleSpencer Composites, a wholly owned subsidiary of X-Bow Systems, Inc., is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist/Inspector, responsible for operating coordinate measuring machines and calibrated hand instruments to inspect and measure manufactured parts and components for quality control purposes.Duties/Responsibilities:Responsible for operating coordinate measuring machines to inspect and measure manufactured parts and components for quality control purposes.Set up and operate CMM, Laser Tracker, FARO Arm etc. equipment to perform dimensional measurements of partsInterpret engineering drawings, blueprints and specificationsProgram CMM software (et, el, etc) to create measurement routinesConduct inspections and record measurement dataAnalyze results and identify any deviations from specificationsPrepare detailed inspection reportsMaintain CMM equipment and calibration recordsCollaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on quality issuesPerform other related duties as assigned, such as Production support/inspection of received goods.Required Skills/Abilities:High School diploma or GEDDemonstrate inspector techniquesDemonstrates reliability, procedural compliance, and willingness to learnMust possess a valid states driver's licenseMust be able to work shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.Familiarity with document control processes and maintaining quality records.Strong organizational skills and the ability to find, understand, and organize documents.Excellent attention to detail to ensure compliance.Desired Skills and AbilitiesAssociate's degree in mechanical engineering technology or related fieldAt least 3 years' experience operating CMM equipmentProficiency with CMM software (e.g. PC-DMIS, Veri-Surf, Calypso)Strong knowledge of GD&T principlesAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsAttention to detail and strong analytical skillsStrong interpersonal communication skills with ability to work with others at all levels of the organization.Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.Experience in the Aerospace Manufacturing industryGeneral RequirementsMust be a U.S. Person.Must meet federal government requirements for access to government information; dual citizenship may preclude meeting this requirement.About Spencer CompositesSpencer Composites, a wholly owned subsidiary of X-Bow Systems, Inc.
