Quality Control – Tissue Receipt

Location: Branchburg, NJ
Pay Rate: $27–$29/hour
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Rotating Shift: Every other Tuesday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM
Work Environment: Onsite – Laboratory, Warehouse & Manufacturing

Position Summary

We are seeking a Quality Control professional to support tissue receipt and quality operations within a regulated manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for the inspection and receipt of human and porcine tissue, batch record review, quarantine activities, cycle counts, cleaning, media changes, and product/tissue disposition.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working hands-on in laboratory, warehouse, and manufacturing settings, including working with human, porcine, and potentially biohazardous/cadaveric tissue. This role also provides technical and documentation support to cross-functional teams and assists with continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and receive human and porcine tissue and raw materials in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
• Perform batch record review and ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant.
• Support tissue and product quarantine, disposition, media change, cleaning, and cycle count activities.
• Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with applicable procedures, regulations, and quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support data trending and documentation updates.
• Provide technical support to departmental and cross-functional teams to maintain effective operations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and nonconformances.
• Support quality system activities involving Exception Reports (ERs), CAPAs, Supplier-Related ERs, LIRs, and Change Controls/ECOs.
• Assist with audit preparation and serve as a subject matter resource as needed.
• Identify and support 5S, Lean Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a cGMP, GDP, ISO, FDA-regulated, or similar regulated industry preferred.
• AATB certification preferred.
• Previous experience in quality control, tissue processing/receipt, laboratory operations, manufacturing, warehousing, or regulated operations is highly desirable.
• Computer proficiency and scheduling experience required.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under critical time constraints.
• Comfortable working in laboratory, warehouse, and manufacturing environments.
• Willing and able to work with human and porcine materials, including potentially biohazardous and cadaveric tissue.

Physical & Scheduling Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk, lift, bend, squat, stoop, stretch, sit, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work with human and porcine raw materials and finished goods in designated functional areas.
• Ability to work the regular Tuesday–Saturday schedule and rotate to the 10:00 AM–6:30 PM Tuesday shift every other week.
• Flexibility to support occasional early morning, late evening, or additional weekend hours based on business needs.

Preferred Background

Candidates with experience in cGMP/GDP environments, tissue or biologics operations, quality control, batch record review, CAPA/nonconformance documentation, FDA/ISO-regulated manufacturing, 5S, or Lean Six Sigma are strongly encouraged to apply.
