Quality Assurance Project Specialist- Columbus, OH
Location                       : Columbus, OH– 43219 (Onsite)
Project Duration      : 9+ Months of contract
Pay Rate                       : $22.50 per hour on W2
 
Job Description:
Seeking a motivated and detail oriented Quality Assurance Project Leader to support ingredient quality and supplier change management activities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring ingredient compliance, maintaining robust documentation, and driving cross functional alignment across the supply chain. The ideal candidate brings a background in food science or a related discipline, strong written communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a regulated environment. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with suppliers and internal partners while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and manage supplier change notifications, including tracking status through completion.
• Coordinate cross functional assessments of supplier changes to evaluate quality and compliance impact.
• Communicate status, risks, and outcomes to key stakeholders.
• Support implementation of downstream process changes related to approved supplier notifications.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation to ensure traceability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to supplier change notification and quality processes.
• Collaborate with cross functional partners including R&D, Procurement, Operations, and Quality.

 
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a regulated food or nutrition industry.
• Working knowledge of ingredient quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross functional teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
