Description

Job Title: Quality Assurance Observer
Location: Hanscom AFB, MA
Duration: 12-month contract
Payrate: $70 per hour

Responsibilities:
  • Provides on-site QA surveillance and technical support to the PDT by observing construction activities and reporting findings to ensure work is performed in general compliance with the contract plans and specifications.
  • Observes construction activities and provides a written daily QA report documenting progress, site conditions, and noted deficiencies.
  • Monitors site safety by observing operations for compliance with the approved Accident Prevention Plan (APP), EM 385-1-1, and applicable OSHA standards.
  • Immediately notify the PDT of any observed situations that may pose an imminent danger to personnel or property.
  • Documents and witnesses preparatory, initial, and follow-on inspections as part of the Government's three-phase inspection process.
  • Provides documentation of any observed deviation from the approved contract documents and submits it to the PDT for final determination.

Must Have:
  • Must pass a federal background check; and must be able to get a CAC card.
Junior-
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of hands-on field experience in a relevant construction trade.
Senior-
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. An associate or bachelor’s Degree in a related field is desirable.
  • Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of hands-on field experience, with at least five (5) years serving as a Quality Control Manager or Superintendent.
  • Certification: USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractor’s certification is required.
