Position Summary: The NDT Supervisor is responsible for oversight, administration, technical direction, and execution of nondestructive testing activities in support of manufacturing and customer requirements. This position serves as the designated NAS410 Level III for Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) and Radiographic Testing (RT - hard copy film radiography), ensuring compliance with customer specifications, aerospace requirements, internal procedures, and applicable industry standards.The NDT Supervisor will lead NDT personnel, maintain certification programs, approve techniques and procedures, support audits, and ensure timely inspection of castings and components while maintaining safety and quality standards.Primary Responsibilities and Duties:Serve responsible NAS410 Level III for:Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)Radiographic Testing (RT - hard copy film)Develop, review, approve, and maintain:NDT written practicesTechnique sheetsWork instructionsInspection proceduresTraining and certification recordsEnsure compliance with:NAS410Customer specificationsASTM standardsAerospace and internal quality requirementsSupervise and support Level I and Level II NDT personnelAdminister qualification and certification examinations for NDT personnelInterpret radiographic film and penetrant indications to determine product acceptabilityMaintain NDT process controls including:Film processingDarkroom controlsPenetrant system checksEquipment calibrationViewing conditionsAudit readinessCoordinate daily inspection priorities with production and quality teamsParticipate in:Customer auditsNadcap auditsInternal auditsCorrective action investigationsReview and disposition nonconforming material related to NDT findingsAssist engineering and quality teams with defect analysis and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with radiation safety requirements and applicable regulationsMaintain safe operation of radiographic equipment and NDT areasQualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience, Physical Requirements):Associate or Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, or related technical fieldNadcap audit experienceExperience in aluminum casting or high pressure die castingAdditional NDT certifications (UT, MT, DR, CT, etc.)Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) experience
