Quality Assurance Manager/NDT III

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This individual will oversee Quality Assurance and Quality Control operations while ensuring products consistently meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving continuous improvement, supporting production, and building a strong quality culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams.
• Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Develop, implement, and improve quality processes, procedures, and work instructions.
• Monitor production quality and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Analyze quality data and prepare reports for plant leadership.
• Lead investigations into customer complaints, product nonconformances, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate internal, customer, and third-party quality audits.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and customer specifications.
• Develop quality training programs and mentor team members on quality best practices.
• Partner with production, engineering, and operations teams to improve manufacturing performance, product quality, and overall efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that reduce defects and improve operational performance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control, including leadership responsibilities.
• Experience within steel, tubular products, metals, or other heavy manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, process control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with nondestructive testing (NDT) and mechanical testing.
• Knowledge of industry quality standards and manufacturing specifications.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• NDT Level III certification.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Advanced degree in Engineering, Technology, or Business.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Previous experience leading quality teams through audits, process improvements, and manufacturing start-up or expansion activities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working throughout an industrial manufacturing facility, including standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to work safely around production equipment while following all PPE and safety requirements.
