We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team!
This position typically reports to a senior manager and is responsible for the planning, managing, and technical performance of a Quality Assurance (QA) program. Directs all phases of QA including developing, evaluating, implementing, and monitoring quality management policies, principles and standards, such as ISO-9000 and AS9100 quality systems, to ensure compliance with customer/product standards and governmental regulatory requirements. Typically accomplishes objectives through subordinate management. May be responsible for decisions that have an extended impact on outcomes where erroneous decisions could result in critical delays and modifications to projects.

Typically requires a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in engineering or a related technical field as well as thirteen or more years of progressively complex QA experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
Must demonstrate detailed and extensive working knowledge and understanding of QA principles, concepts, theories, regulations and practices; extensive knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS9100 quality system; and leadership skills including organizing, planning, scheduling and coordinating workloads to meet established deadlines and milestones.
Must possess
(1) the ability to resolve complex technical and management issues
(2) strong verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report and present findings
(3) strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of employees, management and outside representatives.
The ability to work on a self-initiated basis, in a team environment, and be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
Highly desired:
currently possess or have the ability to obtain a DOD "SECRET" level security clearance
a proven track record of successful management across multiple sites
previous experience in Space related products such as satellite manufacturing, integration and testing
previous experience in delivering products that support Space Programs and associated customers
