Quality Assurance Inspector

Title: Quality Assurance Inspector
Location: Largo, FL
Industry: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
Schedule: 7am-3:30pm
Pay Rate: $20/hr
Employment Type: Contract with the possibility to go permanent

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform component inspections and raw material sampling processes with direct oversight.
  • Learn and properly use measuring devices, including calipers, go/no-go gauges, pin gauges, scales, and rulers.
  • Complete daily documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP), including instrumentation records, logbooks, and inspection records.
  • Monitor temperature and cleaning conditions in cold and hot box storage areas.
  • Operate and complete certification for electric and manual pallet jacks.
  • Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Read and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and other applicable safety materials.
  • Apply basic cGMP, safety, evacuation, and reporting requirements.
  • Report safety and quality events accurately and promptly.
  • Follow processes for the storage and retention of raw materials and components.
  • Accurately operate scanners and identify warehouse locations and materials.
  • Apply cGMP, safety, and continuous improvement practices to support accurate inspections and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties and activities assigned by Quality Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Working knowledge of FDA regulations related to pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of chemical safety and proper use of protective equipment.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an FDA-regulated pharmaceutical or medical device environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis

CRITICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough and accurate inspections.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and various measuring devices.
  • Ability to lift, bend, twist, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to wear a full-face respirator as required.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and complete assigned objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Strong initiative and commitment to supporting departmental and company goals

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Exposure to chemicals and other potential workplace hazards while following established safety procedures.
  • Will be required to wear a respirator
