 Role                     : Quality Assurance Engineer
Location                                    : Clearwater, FL
Duration                                   : 12 Months
Pay Range                              : $ 50/hr. On W2




Description: Core Responsibilities
•Apply quality principles in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products.
•Perform technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures.
•Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
•Engage in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action.
•Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.
•Develop strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity.
•Evaluate quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
•Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment;conduct product quality tests, perform statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
•Engage in the supplier selection process and certification programs.
•Leverage Tableau dashboards and predictive analytics to monitor production metrics and identify trends for actionable next steps.
•Responsible for supplier evaluation, verification of special processes, supplier oversight –including development and execution of return-to-green plans.
Basic Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, preferably in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering, or related discipline and 5 years of related experience.
•Knowledgeable in surveillance of AS9100 / ISO9001 Quality Management Systems and experience with AS9102 first article inspections or APQP
•Technical experience with mechanical and/or electrical products, including manufacturing processes, interpretation of technical drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and military and industry specifications.
•Experience with Supplier Quality and/or Quality Engineering principles, including nonconformance dispositions, failure analysis, and driving systemic root cause and corrective action utilizing quantitative and qualitative analytical methods.
•Understanding of basic manufacturing requirements and quality engineering systems.
•Strong communication skills –adept at collaborating across sites and program teams.
Desired Skills
•Experience supporting supplier selection, contract reviews, readiness reviews and performing risk analyses.
•Experience and familiarity with machining and manufacturing practices.
•Tableau and other data visualization platforms for quality tracking.
•Certifications like Lean Six Sigma or equivalent problem-solving methods or CQE, CSQP or CMQ/OE certification.
•Experience with commodities such as CCAs, cabling assemblies, and box-level components.
