Description

Title: Quality Assurance Engineer I
Duration: 12 months (Contract)
Location: Costa Mesa, CA(100% Onsite)
Pay Rate: $ 25 per hour on W2
Schedule: 2nd Shift is 2pm to 10:30pm – (With a shift differential of $2) with potential overtime on the front end.

It is a hybrid quality tech with functional skills. They will be both on the floor and in the office setting.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in quality inspection, quality auditing, manufacturing, warehouse operations, or a related field.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools including calipers, pin gauges, height indicators, and other inspection equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, symbols, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Proficient with Client Office applications and quality management software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to document findings accurately and prepare professional audit reports.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing, panelboard assembly, warehouse logistics, or industrial production environments.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience conducting process audits, capability studies, and Gage R&R studies.
  • Familiarity with ERP, MES, or digital quality systems.
  • Understanding of customer quality requirements and corrective action methodologies.

Must Haves 

  • Quality auditing experience: 1–3 years in quality inspection/auditing, especially line/process audits.

  • Functional quality skills: Hands-on use of calipers, pin gauges, height indicators, and other precision tools.

  • Technical knowledge: Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.

  • Documentation & communication: Must be able to document audit findings, create professional reports, and communicate results to leaders/managers.
