If yes, you may be a great fit for StenTech’s QA team supporting precision metal components.
Role overview
Help ensure every part we ship aligns with customer specifications and our internal quality standards. You’ll move between receiving, in-process checks, first article (first part buyoff), and final inspection—documenting findings and keeping production informed.
Core responsibilities
- Conduct inspections on incoming materials, in-process parts, first articles, finished goods, and outgoing shipments.
- Verify paperwork: review work orders, inspection records, and related documentation for completeness and sign-off.
- Detect and report non-conformances, defects, and discrepancies clearly and promptly.
- Use precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and more) to validate dimensions and quality.
- Interpret customer blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria; GD&T familiarity is beneficial.
- Perform visual inspections for damage, workmanship, and dimensional consistency while carefully handling precision metal parts.
- Maintain speed and accuracy while prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Keep the work area orderly, safe, and audit-ready.
- Complete other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in quality control, inspection, manufacturing, or a related area is helpful.
- Practical knowledge of metrology tools: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, etc.
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings; GD&T knowledge is advantageous.
- Knowledge of CNC machining processes or experience inspecting machined components preferred.
- Competent with computers for entering inspection data and maintaining electronic quality records.
- Exceptional attention to detail; able to identify defects and dimensional variances.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle priorities.
