The Quality Assessment Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust
quality assurance framework across all End‑Point Assessment (EPA) and apprenticeship assessment
activities. The role ensures that assessments are valid, reliable, fair, and compliant with regulatory
requirements, awarding organisation conditions, and internal policies.
The Quality Assessment Manager will work closely with independent assessors, internal quality assurers, the
Assessment Organisation Manager, and senior leadership to promote a culture of continuous improvement
and regulatory confidence.
This role is central to ensuring that EpAO and Assessment operations are efficient, fully auditable, and
consistently aligned with Ofqual standards and all relevant apprenticeship assessment regulatory
requirements.
The Quality Assurance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of robust, fair, and highquality assessments for apprentices across multiple sectors, maintaining strict compliance with regulatory
frameworks and assessment standards. They will champion a culture of continuous improvement,
accountability, and quality assurance through close collaboration with internal teams, external stakeholders,
and regulatory bodies.
This position is critical in safeguarding operational excellence, proactively managing compliance risks, and
strengthening the effectiveness and efficiency of assessment processes. The successful applicant will

This role is integral to ensuring the effective implementation and continuous improvement of Assessment
quality assurance processes. It supports the delivery of consistent, compliant, and high-quality assessment
practices, while mitigating regulatory and operational risks. By fostering a culture of accountability and
continuous improvement, the role works collaboratively with internal teams, independent assessors, and
external stakeholders to uphold standards set by awarding organisations and regulatory bodies, ensuring the
integrity, fairness, and reliability of all activities.
Main Duties
* Lead and manage the quality assurance of End Point Assessment (EPA) delivery, ensuring all
assessment practices are valid, reliable, fair, and consistent.
* Ensure full compliance with Ofqual conditions, apprenticeship assessment plans, and all relevant
regulatory and awarding organisation requirements.
* Develop, implement, and continuously improve internal quality assurance (IQA) frameworks,
policies, and procedures.
* Oversee standardisation and moderation activities to ensure consistency of assessment decisions
across assessors and sectors.
* Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and approval of Independent Assessors, ensuring they meet
occupational competency, assessment, and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure all Independent Assessors are appropriately trained, standardised, and continuously
monitored to maintain assessment quality and compliance.
* Manage internal and external quality assurance activities, including preparation for audits,
inspections, and regulatory reviews.
* Monitor assessment delivery and outcomes, identifying risks, trends, and areas for improvement,
and implementing corrective actions.
* Ensure all EPA processes and documentation are accurate, robust, and audit-ready at all times.
