Description

Piper Companies is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to support software quality initiatives for a leading technology-focused organization. The Quality Assurance Analyst role is ideal for an experienced testing professional with a strong background in software testing methodologies, defect management, and Agile development environments.

Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Analyst:

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications.
  • Identify, document, track, and verify software defects through resolution using test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reporting on quality metrics and project risks.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Continuously improve QA processes, methodologies, and testing best practices.

Qualifications of the Quality Assurance Analyst:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • 6+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or related software testing role.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and quality assurance processes.
  • Experience with test case design, test execution, defect reporting, and test management tools such as JIRA.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Compensation for the Quality Assurance Analyst includes:

  • Salary range: $100,000 - $125,000 depending on experience
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO
  • Hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite per week in Durham, NC
