Project Overview
Seeking
a Quality Assurance Analyst to support the implementation of small- to
large-scale projects within the Systems Applications Integration and
Development team. The resource will serve as a system-testing specialist for
Medicaid enrollment and eligibility systems, including document management and
workflows. The role will also support projects involving Medicaid enrollment,
eligibility, claims processing, and related subsystems by evaluating proposed
and implemented solutions and recommending improvements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop test plans, QA and User
Acceptance Testing processes, test cases, scripts, and scenarios for
product management and software development teams.
- Design and support user interface,
application, regression, negative, usability, reliability, and stability
testing.
- Perform smoke testing, system integration
testing, and end-to-end testing across multiple systems and applications.
- Implement testing programs to ensure the
quality, reliability, performance, and usability of technical
applications.
- Conduct quality assessments to identify
security flaws, software defects, performance issues, and optimization
opportunities.
- Identify testing issues and action items,
recommend solutions, track planned completion dates, and report
impediments to leadership.
- Maintain defect databases containing
product defects, user feedback, survey information, testing outcomes, and
recommended functional improvements.
- Collaborate with product development
teams, software engineers, architects, technicians, business stakeholders,
vendors, and management to resolve defects and improve application
performance.
- Define, implement, and promote internal
and industry-standard QA practices, processes, policies, and testing
guidelines.
- Ensure projects comply with
software-testing governance policies, standards, and best practices, and
recommend process improvements.
- Conduct reviews, walkthroughs, and
inspections in accordance with established governance standards.
- Review and approve vendor unit-testing
and system-integration test plans and results.
- Guide on preparing and review of test
plans, test scripts, test scenarios, and test reports.
- Monitor testing progress against
established targets, report exceptions, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Document testing feedback, results,
defects, risks, and recommendations, and communicate outcomes to
management.
- Complete assigned
project-testing activities accurately and within established timelines.
Requirements
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical,
business, or healthcare field. Or 5+ years of equivalent experience in
Quality Assurance.
Required Skills:
- Five or more years of experience in
Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
- Five or more years of experience
translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases
and test scenarios and incorporating them into test-management systems.
- Three or more years of hands-on
experience with the Sahi Pro or Selenium automation framework.
- Experience designing and developing
automated test scripts using established test-automation guidelines.
- Working knowledge of at least one of the
following process or maturity models: SPICE, TPI, TMMi, or the CMMI OPF,
OPD, and PPQA process areas.
- Hands-on experience with formal
test-design techniques, including Equivalence Class Partitioning and
Pairwise Analysis.
- Experience using test-design tools such
as PICT or an equivalent orthogonal-testing tool.
Preferred Skills:
- Five or more years of experience
supporting large enterprise or e-business systems.
- Three or more years of Medicaid or
healthcare experience, with a strong understanding of healthcare
operations and business processes; Medicaid experience is preferred.
- Experience with X12 standards and HIPAA
EDI transactions.
- Proficiency with the Atlassian tool
suite, including Jira and Confluence.
- Experience working in both standard
Waterfall SDLC environments and Agile delivery environments.
Additional Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal
communication skills, with strong English proficiency and the ability to
document requirements and use cases clearly.
- Experience developing and maintaining
test scenarios and test cases and supporting the execution of testing
activities.
- Ability to prepare and communicate status
reports covering open issues, defects, and gaps identified during testing.
- Ability to clearly explain testing
results, defects, and required actions to development teams and other
stakeholders.Effective team player who works well with cross-functional
groups.
- Capable of working independently and
contributing effectively as an individual contributor.
