Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst – Advanced (Junior Tester) ( 12923)

Candidate Location: Must be a current SC resident or willing to relocate to SC at their own expense before starting.

Job Description: The consultant will perform manual testing of technical solutions, translate business and technical requirements into test cases, execute testing, document defects, and support defect resolution. The environment supports SCDHHS's Medicaid/MMIS modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate functional, technical, business, and policy requirements into test cases and scenarios.
• Develop and execute functional and technical test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, usability, and boundary testing.
• Maintain requirements-to-test-case traceability and assist with traceability matrices.
• Participate in defect triage, retesting, and resolution.
• Document test results, defects, QA status, and related reports.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, healthcare, or related field; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
• 2+ years translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios.
• 2+ years of manual testing techniques: functional, regression, smoke, usability, and boundary testing.
• 3+ years of strong healthcare operations and business process knowledge, preferably Medicaid.

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years working with large enterprise or e-business systems.
• 3+ years using QA/test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar.
• 3+ years working within SDLC/Waterfall and Agile delivery environments.
• Technical and/or Project Management certifications are desirable.
