Job Title: Quality Assurance Tester
Job Duration: 12 months (Long Term)
Job Location: Columbia, SC, 29210, Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 days remote)
Shift Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM

Job Summary:
  • The Quality Assurance Tester - Advanced will be assigned to projects in collaboration with the Project Management Office (PMO).
  • The PMO is responsible for staffing all projects as well as establishing and monitoring IT related governance and standards, which are followed by all enterprise project teams.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for performing tests on technical solutions to isolate and solve issues.
  • Initiates tests, analyzes results, and finds solutions to technical problems.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in test processes and SDLC tools
  • Demonstrate ability to translate functional and technical requirements and technical designs into test cases
  • Develop and execute functional and technical test cases under the direction of test leads and senior testers
  • Create and maintain SDLC traceability from test cases to requirements and designs/software components; Assist in generation of requirement traceability

  • Participate in defect triage, retest, and resolution
  • Create quality assurance documentation and reports as required
  • Develop and execute test cases; Clearly communicate and document test status and defects identified
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Required Skills:
  • 2 years translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios
  • 2 years of knowledge of manual testing techniques (functional, regression, smoke, usability, boundary testing)
  • 3 years deep knowledge of healthcare operations (preferably Medicaid), business processes
  • Bachelor's degree in technical, business, healthcare or related field. Years of experience can substitute for formal education.
  • Technical and/or Project Management certifications from recognized sources are desirable
Preferred Skills:
  • 2 years' experience with large enterprise or e-business systems
  • 3 years' experience using QA tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar
  • 3 years prior experience working in a standard SDLC (waterfall methodology) & in an AGILE delivery
