Quality and Lab Technician

Job description:

This is a 1st shift job, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. This position is responsible for laboratory functions. Quality/Lab Technician completes the day to day laboratory duties accurately and in a timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Processes samples on lab equipment and completes all documentation required accurately and on time
• Completes lab tests, documents accurately and completed on time. (Injection Molding, Tensile Properties, Impact Properties, DSC, Moisture, Pellet Count, Melt Index, Density, Ash testing,
• Assures the lab areas is clean and organized
• Assures the lab area equipment is operated in a safe manor.
• Assists Quality Manager in IATF initiatives
• Maintains safe work area in the lab.
• Other duties as assigned by management

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of polymer/plastic materials/ plastic extrusion, preferred
• At least one years of experience as a Quality & Lab Technician and injection molding operator, required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a plastic injection molding/ polymer industry.
• ISO or IATF 16949:2016, knowledge is a plus
