The client needs a candidate to run their ISO 9001:2015 program (Quality Management Systems) and ISO 22301 program (Business Continuity Management Systems) for which they have certifications and management manuals in place. Ideally, the candidate will have managerial experience and come from a Compliance and/or Quality background, who has experience with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 22301, and who has AS9100D certification experience (i.e., experience going through the AS9100D certification process, etc.).

Job Overview

The client needs a candidate to run their ISO 9001:2015 program (Quality Management Systems) and ISO 22301 program (Business Continuity Management Systems)for which they have certifications and management manuals in place. 

This candidate will also help with obtaining their AS9100D certification and manage that certification program as well. Ideally, the candidate will have managerial experience and come from a Compliance and/or Quality background, who has experience with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 22301, and who has AS9100D certification experience (i.e., experience going through the AS9100D certification process, etc.). The role bridges standard quality management (ISO 9001), aerospace requirements (AS9100D), and risk-based business continuity systems (ISO 22301).  

 

Job Summary

The client is seeking a highly structured compliance leader to oversee, maintain, and expand their corporate certification programs. You will manage their existing, fully documented ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management/QMS) and ISO 22301 (Business Continuity) systems. Additionally, you will spearhead their transition and upcoming certification process for AS9100D. The ideal candidate ensures their management manuals remain living documents, drives continuous improvement, and fosters a culture of rigorous compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain existing compliance: Oversee daily operations of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 22301 programs.
• Lead AS9100D implementation: Build, deploy, and achieve certification for the aerospace standard.
• Own documentation: Update, streamline, and control changes to all management manuals.
• Audit management: Schedule, execute, and host all internal and external registrar audits.
• Corrective actions: Lead root-cause analysis for any non-conformances across all programs.
• Business continuity leadership: Coordinate regular testing and updates for disaster recovery plans.
• Management review: Prepare performance data and metrics for executive leadership meetings.

 

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree is required, preferable in a technical or engineering field.
• Minimum 5+ years managing certified ISO quality frameworks and having relevant work experience and project management experience.
• Leadership experience with ISO 9001:2015 programs and ISO 22301 programs in the areas of Aerospace, Defense, Military, or Government is highly preferred
• Experience deploying or auditing AS9100D systems in the Aerospace, Defense, Military, or Government industries is highly preferred.
• Business Continuity knowledge: Hands-on familiarity with ISO 22301 frameworks and risk assessments.
• Audit certified: Certified Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor credential preferred.
• Communication: Strong ability to train staff on complex procedural requirements and interact with internal groups, management, and stakeholders.
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Green Card Holder.
• Background check will be required.  Job offer is contingent upon the candidate passing the background check.
