Title: Qualification Engineer
Location: Huntsville, AL
Seeking candidates for a Qualification Test Engineer to support STRIKE Test and Evaluation Team. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities/Duties
Responsible for designing and executing Qualification test plans to validate the functionality and quality of complex Army systems.
Lead or support component, subsystem, and system-level qualification testing; test types may include Environmental, EMI/EMC, Safety, Human Factors.
Evaluate systems to ensure they meet military standards (MIL-STD-810,
MIL-STD461 and MIL-STD_464).
Identify potential weapon system issues and defects by performing tests on the system's features.
Report findings to ensure the final product meets specifications, working closely with development teams across the product lifecycle.
This position involves physically climbing on top of military vehicles and weapon systems.
Required Experience
BS or BA degree.
15 years test and evaluation experience.
5 years experience in weapon system qualification testing (can be part of the 10 years above).
Experience with evaluating systems to ensure they meet military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD461 and MIL-STD_464).
Must be a US Citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.
