Entry I Salary: $22.46 per hour
Salary Range: Up to $27.44 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and position level.
Candidates with 0-12 months of relevant experience will be hired at the Entry I level with a starting salary of $22.46 per hour. Candidates with more than 12 months of relevant experience may be considered for a higher-level position, with compensation commensurate with their experience and qualifications, up to $27.44 per hour.

Quality Improvement Coordinator / DA Trainer:
The Quality Improvement Coordinator/Trainer (DA) will be responsible for implementing and evaluating processes in operational and clinical areas. This coordinator will work to identify trends, prioritize, and recommend improvements, decrease duplication, and ensure staff are properly executing workflows. Works closely with the organizational and clinic leadership to develop, monitor, and educate others on the use of patient data systems that drive improvement and reporting of patient outcomes using data and dashboards. The coordinator will also assist with the onboarding and assessing skills of new clinical support employees, as well training and mentoring in the internal dental assistant training.
Position Summary:
With a Quality, Customer First, and Compassionate approach, The Quality Improvement Coordinator / DA Trainer will:
- Promotes a culture including safety, high-reliability, patient and staff engagement, and excellent performance.
- Works with the Dental Operations Director Manager to complete annual competency checks for clinical support staff, including DA and EDDA staff.
- Provides teaching, training, and mentoring for the internal DA program participants.
- Assists with the onboarding and competency checks for new DA staff.
- Works with campus leadership and staff to identify and document efficient workflows to meet organizational goals.
- Assists in educating new staff, including dentists, about Quality Improvement (QI) systems and requirements.
- Coordinates with management in the development, implementation, and revision of the campuses QI program to meet the needs of patients, staff, and external agencies.
- Provides QI leadership and consultative services to campus leadership and clinic care team members, effectively achieving PCMH recognition organizational compliance for QI activities.
- Organizes, compiles, and reports QI data for each clinic and the campus to identify trends, establish priorities, and recommend improvement activities.
- Performs comprehensive, concurrent, and retrospective reviews of data in a timely manner, using criteria developed and approved by the Chief Dental Officer.
- Develops, evaluates, and maintains quality dashboards and performance metrics.
- Serves as a working member of the system's quality committee; attends All staff department and committee meetings and other pertinent meetings to ensure the campuses overall QI plan implementation and compliance is in line with the system.
- Keeps abreast of current PCMH standards and other accreditation standards, and the latest quality techniques in health care.
- Maintains current competency and expertise in quality and patient safety.
- Provides support to the dental team by filling in to cover as needed due to staffing shortages.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program.
- Current Dental Assistant certification.
- 2-3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Education, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Experience in staff training, mentoring, or clinical education.
- Training or certification in quality improvement, healthcare compliance, adult learning, performance improvement, or clinical education.
