The QC Sample Management Specialist plays a key role in supporting quality control testing by receiving, logging, tracking, and distributing samples throughout the QC process. This position maintains accurate chain-of-custody documentation and sample traceability, performs aliquoting activities using biosafety cabinets and aseptic techniques, and creates reference standards and control materials to support QC testing. The specialist coordinates shipment of samples to external contract laboratories, manages associated shipping and compliance documentation, and utilizes LIMS to oversee sample inventory and tracking. In addition, the role supports laboratory operations, including refrigerators, freezers, and stability chambers, and assists with equipment maintenance activities by relocating and managing stored materials while following GMP procedures and site documentation.
ResponsibilitiesThis role is based in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Sanford, NC, operating on a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The environment is fast-paced with a start-up feel, offering exposure to both GMP and non-GMP processes due to a variety of product types. Team members work closely with cross-functional manufacturing and quality groups and gain exposure to GMP quality control operations, sample management programs, laboratory systems, and compliance practices. The setting includes routine work with laboratory equipment such as biosafety cabinets, refrigerators, freezers, and stability chambers, and supports professional development and potential long-term growth within multiple quality and laboratory disciplines.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
