QC Manager - Steel Bridge Fabrication (Relocation to Columbia, MO)

Open to relocating? We're looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead QC for a structural steel bridge fabrication operation in Columbia, Missouri, with relocation assistance for the right candidate. Columbia is a college town with a low cost of living, about two hours from both St. Louis and Kansas City. You'll own the quality program from incoming material through final inspection, making sure every bridge component meets AWS D1.5 and project specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Run the shop QC program for steel bridge fabrication, including inspection plans, documentation, and NCR/corrective action
• Perform and oversee ultrasonic testing (UT) of welds
• Maintain compliance with AWS D1.5, owner/DOT specs, and contract documents
• Review shop drawings, WPS/PQRs, and welder qualifications
• Work alongside production, engineering, and owner/DOT inspectors

Requirements:

• ASNT UT Level II certification (required)
• Hands-on AWS D1.5 Bridge Welding Code experience (required)
• QC experience in structural steel or bridge fabrication
• CWI certification a plus
