    Description

    Join our team as a key player as a Quality Control Lab Technician in the Quality Team, where you will ensure the integrity of our products throughout the manufacturing process and release. This role demands proficiency in standardized techniques and operating procedures to conduct and analyze tests on sensitive samples. Your contribution will be vital in promoting a Quality and Food Safety Culture.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and HACCP requirements.
    • Successfully complete all laboratory training.
    • Accurately and efficiently follow established SOPs.
    • Record, interpret, and enter test results in specified forms and LIMS software with precision and accountability.
    • Conduct all applicable analytical and sensory tests on in-process and finished products promptly.
    • Identify and report inconsistencies in data to necessary personnel promptly, including escalation when required.
    • Appropriately receive, handle, and store samples according to SOP.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, taking corrective actions when necessary and keeping records.
    • Handle, organize, and store chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases as outlined in the Safety Data Sheet provided by the manufacturer.
    • Collaborate independently and with teams across all departments.
    • Complete verifications in testing, standards, equipment, and instruments to ensure accurate performance.
    • Participate in proficiency and collaborative testing.
    • Communicate effectively with other departments as necessary (in person, radio, email, and telephone).
    • Be open to assuming additional and new responsibilities.
    • Perform routine tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Maintain a neat, clean, well-organized, and professional-looking work area.
    • Train colleagues and assume QC Specialist and Manager responsibilities as needed.
    • Perform duties in alignment with environmental, health, and safety policies and objectives.
    • Maintain samples of tested products to confirm test results when necessary.
    • Ensure adequate supplies for testing and notify the manager of the need to reorder supplies.
    • Continuously compare test results with standards to ensure all products meet specifications.

    Job Qualifications

    • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, with basic arithmetic skills.
    • Clear writing ability and professional communication skills.
    • Capability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized.
    • Teamwork skills and a willingness to learn.
    • Regular and prompt attendance, active participation in training, and readiness to perform all duties.
    • Adherence to proper personal hygiene standards.
    • High School Diploma or GED required; Associates in applied science preferred.
    • Preferred analytical laboratory experience.
    • Basic computer operation skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications and various software programs for instruments.
    • Commitment to safety, understanding that accidents are preventable, and that safety is everyone's responsibility.
    • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods, work from heights, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
    • Ability to handle dangerous chemicals safely.
    • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
