    Description

    SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
    A QC Lab Admin is primarily focused on laboratory operations support, inventory management, purchasing, 
    compliance tracking, and administrative coordination.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Creates requisitions in SAP for reagents/standards/consumables/office supplies
    • Orders reagents/standards/consumables/office supplies through vendors and suppliers via telephone and 
    internet
    • Performs DEA reconciliation and reverse distribution of completed samples.
    • Receives reagents/consumables for the QC Laboratory.
    • Responsible for inventory management (full inventory of reagents in the lab each week)
    • Responsible for receiving and tracking reference standards.
    • Performs general housekeeping such as stocking consumables
    • Performs the destruction of completed non-controlled samples
    • Responsible for the management of laboratory logbooks including reconciliation and requesting 
    replacements
    • Acts as a backup to the QC Coordinator for sample receipt (logging and labeling) of all samples into the lab,

    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, but extended (earlier or later) work 
    times or weekend work may be required.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully 
    perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds. Specific 
    vision abilities required by this position include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While 
    performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The 
    employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and smell.


    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    This role operates in a professional laboratory and office environment; business casual/casual attire is required. 
    This role requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. The 
    employee is occasionally exposed to toxic and/ or caustic chemicals such as Sodium Hydroxide, Hydrochloric Acid, 
    Acetonitrile, Methanol, and other chemical solutions necessary in analytical chemistry. As a result, the employee 
    may be required to wear a respirator or appropriate PPE for certain tasks within the laboratory to ensure their 
    safety and protection. In the event a respirator is required, this will be provided by the company at no expense to 
    the employee. In addition, any medical expenses for respirator fit testing will be covered by the employer.
