Role & Responsibilities
We are seeking 3 QC Inspectors for a mechanical contractor supporting data center construction, which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in mechanical piping QC inspection and documentation looking to further their career in industrial and commercial construction quality.
- Perform hands-on QC inspection of mechanical piping installation, welding, and fabrication on active data center job sites
- Verify work against project specifications, codes, and quality standards (ASME B31)
- Capture inspection photos and prepare accurate reports and documentation using multiple software applications
- Identify issues, follow QC processes, and communicate findings professionally to site personnel and QC leadership
- Approx. 60-hour weeks (non-exempt); roughly 75% inspection and 25% reporting
Essential Qualifications
- Practical contractor-side QC inspection experience (years flexible, not entry-level); third-party special inspection alone does not qualify
- Mechanical piping, industrial, construction, or fabrication QC exposure; strong computer, camera, and documentation skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; VT Level 2 or comparable QC training
Bonus Qualifications
- Refinery turnaround/shutdown QC experience
- Data center construction experience
- AWS CWI or ICC Mechanical certification
