    Description

    Quality Control Inspector

    A quality control inspector is responsible for ensuring that products meet a set of standards and specifications. They perform various tasks to inspect, test, and evaluate the quality of products and processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Read blueprints and specifications to understand the requirements and standards of the products.
    • Monitor operations to ensure that they comply with production procedures and quality criteria.
    • Inspect, test, or measure materials, components, or finished products using appropriate tools and equipment.
    • Record inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes, and inputting data into quality database.
    • Accept or reject finished items and remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
    • Recommend adjustments or improvements to the assembly or production process.
    • Train the production team on quality control measures and best practices.
    • Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment and software.
    • Analyze quality data and identify areas for improvement.
    • Follow safety rules and regulations.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
    • Proven experience as a quality control inspector or in a similar role
    • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and quality methods
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
    • Proficient in using measurement tools such as calipers, gauges, micrometers, etc.
    • Familiar with electronic inspection equipment and software
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Good communication and reporting skills
    • Minimum physical requirements include lifting moderate weight up to 50lbs, standing for long periods. 
    • Basic math and computer skills
