    Key responsibilities:

    • Mechanical testing of incoming components, WIP, and finished devices using measuring equipment (i.e., micrometers and calipers)
    • Electrical testing of incoming components, WIP, and finished devices using test equipment (i.e., Hipot tester and oscilloscope)
    • Visual inspection, with or without magnification (i.e., microscope)
    • Operating automated inspection equipment;( i.e., CMM and Optical Vision Systems)
    • Accurate completion of inspection records to be retained at Synaptic Medical as the Device History Records and documentation of all transactions using the MRP system.
    • Coordinate priorities for daily departmental workloads and special requests
    • Assist in maintaining the calibration of all equipment and the calibration documentation system.
    • Assist in processing Non-Conformances through the process

    What we are looking for:

    • High School diploma or GED and 2-5 years' experience performing mechanical and electrical component inspections in a medical device, defense, or other similar regulated industry.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others efficiently and effectively in one-on-one, team, or group environments.
    • Team-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills.
    • The ability to follow established procedures, organization skills, and attention to detail are essential.
    • Working knowledge of inspection equipment and blueprint reading (GD&T) preferred
    • Ability to read and understand engineering documentation.
    • Proficient with an MRP database
    • Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices
    • Well, organized with good recordkeeping skills.
    • Skilled in Microsoft Office {Word, Excel and Outlook).
    • Understanding of ISO 13485, FDA and ISO/IEC17025 Calibration requirements
