Quality Control Administrator
Pay: $18–$22/hour, overtime eligible
Location: Near Saratoga Springs, NY
Schedule: Four-day work week
About the Job
As a Quality Control Administrator, you'll be part of a team crafting transformers and power supplies for military and industrial applications. You'll maintain documentation, coordinate audits and inspections, track corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives — putting your QC skills and attention to detail to work inspecting products that help protect today's military.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain ISO/AS9100 documents, file structure, correspondence, and other departmental records
- Order and maintain supplies, and arrange for equipment maintenance
- Prepare, distribute, and track internal audit documents and performance, following up to confirm resolution
- Prepare and coordinate details, documents, and logistics for internal and external management review meetings
- Work with the RMA coordinator on initial inspections and log GFM, CFM, and RMA information in the appropriate files
- Receive data, input information, and maintain supplier records in CRM systems
- Assist QC engineers with preparing First Article Report documentation and issuing CARs and SCARs, including tracking due dates and follow-up actions
- Track non-conformances, customer complaints, and corrective and preventive actions
- Ensure quality documentation is accurate, current, and properly archived
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality-related issues
- Monitor key quality performance indicators and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Support quality audits and assessments from internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and customers
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence by actively participating in quality initiatives and projects
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
- Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a US government security clearance; applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to export-controlled data
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and lift up to 25 pounds; occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl (reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities)
- Typically moderate noise level in the work environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in QC/QA, manufacturing, or production environments supporting military or industrial products
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and security
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across a cross-functional team
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within and between departments
