We are seeking an experienced QA Tester Contractor to design, develop, and execute scalable automated testing solutions for web, mobile, API, and microservices applications. This role will support functional testing, application development, product, and delivery teams by improving automation coverage, testing efficiency, and overall product quality.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Appium, API testing, CI/CD integration, and mobile accessibility testing across iOS and Android environments.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work with functional testing teams to identify manual test cases suitable for automation and define automation strategies.
  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test solutions for web and mobile applications.
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Appium, and related technologies.
  • Create functional, system integration, accessibility, API, and end-to-end test scenarios.
  • Develop automated mobile application tests using Appium and Selenium across iOS and Android platforms.
  • Develop and maintain automated API and microservices testing solutions using Postman and REST-based technologies.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, enterprise test suites, and nightly execution processes using GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
  • Coordinate the acquisition, provisioning, and management of de-identified test data required for automation and test execution.
  • Establish and apply automation coding standards, best practices, and framework governance.
  • Conduct peer reviews of automation scripts to ensure quality, maintainability, scalability, and compliance with standards.
  • Improve automation coverage and identify opportunities to optimize testing efficiency.
  • Perform accessibility testing using VoiceOver and TalkBack.
  • Identify, document, and track defects during Agile, System Integration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phases.
  • Work with development teams to troubleshoot automation failures, validate fixes, and improve test reliability.
  • Report automation progress, quality metrics, risks, and testing status to project stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to QA engineers on automation design and implementation.
  • Evaluate automation tools, frameworks, and testing practices to improve testing effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Six or more years of experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Appium.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.
  • Experience automating mobile applications on either iOS or Android, with familiarity across both platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
  • Strong knowledge of API testing using Postman, REST, JSON, XML, and SOAP-based services.
  • Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with VoiceOver and TalkBack for accessibility testing.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, and test management tools.
  • Strong understanding of Agile testing practices and continuous testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with native mobile UI automation frameworks, including: Espresso for Android and XCUITest for iOS
  • Experience with Perfecto Mobile or other cloud-based mobile testing platforms.
  • Experience with qTest or similar test case management tools.
  • Experience with Groovy scripting and automation framework customization.
  • Experience establishing automation standards and governance across multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with microservices architectures and end-to-end integration testing.

The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $60 - $70 hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
