API Automation Test Lead

We are looking for an experienced API Automation Test Lead with strong expertise in REST API testing, automation, and database validation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Karate or REST Assured and a solid understanding of modern QA automation practices.

Key Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in REST API automation testing
• Strong hands-on experience with Karate or REST Assured
• 3+ years of database testing experience with SQL
• Strong knowledge of Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, JSON, and XML
• Experience with API authentication, including OAuth2 and JWT
• Experience with Jenkins, Git, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with JMeter and performance testing
• Experience with Maven/Gradle, JUnit/TestNG, and Cucumber/BDD
• Understanding of Swagger/OpenAPI and API contract testing
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum and CI/CD environments
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to mentor junior QA engineers and collaborate with development teams

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Exposure to MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis
• Familiarity with WireMock or MockServer
• Knowledge of API security testing/OWASP concepts
• Experience in financial services, payments, or other regulated environments

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
