    Job Title: QA/Test Manager 3

    Location(s): Austin, TX


    Job Summary
    We are seeking two experienced QA/Test Manager 3 professionals to lead quality assurance efforts for a large-scale Electronic Health Record (EHR) SaaS implementation. This role is responsible for defining QA strategy, managing end-to-end testing activities, validating data migration, coordinating vendor testing, and ensuring successful delivery of a secure, compliant, and high-quality healthcare solution.

    The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare application testing, EHR implementations, ETL and data migration validation, SaaS platforms, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead QA strategy, planning, execution, governance, and resource management for the EHR implementation.
    • Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, schedules, and QA governance documentation.
    • Serve as the primary QA lead for project teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
    • Provide regular reporting on testing progress, quality metrics, risks, and defect status.
    • Manage defect lifecycle including tracking, prioritization, resolution, retesting, and validation.
    • Lead validation of data migration from legacy EHR and ancillary systems.
    • Validate patient, clinical, pharmacy, billing, and historical healthcare records for completeness and accuracy.
    • Review ETL processes, data mappings, validation rules, reconciliation reports, and exception analysis.
    • Perform pre-load and post-load validation, field-level verification, and record reconciliation.
    • Coordinate testing for system integrations, interfaces, inbound/outbound data feeds, and downstream reporting.
    • Lead functional testing across EHR modules including:
      • Clinical
      • Scheduling
      • Orders
      • Medications
      • Documentation
      • Billing
    • Validate end-to-end workflows for clinicians, nurses, pharmacy, registration, and administrative users.
    • Execute System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, Functional Testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
    • Ensure SaaS configuration updates and vendor releases are thoroughly tested before deployment.
    • Partner with business and clinical SMEs to prepare UAT scenarios and test cases.
    • Create and maintain:
      • Test Plans
      • Test Cases
      • Traceability Matrices
      • Test Evidence
    • Track testing activities using Azure DevOps, ALM, Jira, or similar tools.
    • Support both manual and automated testing approaches.
    • Ensure testing documentation meets audit, compliance, and project delivery standards.

    Required Qualifications

    • 11+ years of experience as a QA/Test Lead or QA/Test Manager.
    • 11+ years of hands-on experience in:
      • Data validation
      • Data migration
      • ETL testing
    • 11+ years of experience leading functional testing across EHR platforms.
    • Extensive experience validating:
      • Clinical workflows
      • Scheduling
      • Orders
      • Medication management
      • Documentation
      • Billing workflows
    • 11+ years of experience validating migration from legacy EHR and ancillary healthcare systems.
    • Experience ensuring SaaS configuration changes and vendor releases are fully tested.
    • Strong experience testing healthcare interfaces and data integrations.
    • Experience creating and maintaining:
      • Test Plans
      • Test Cases
      • Traceability Matrices
      • Test Evidence
    • Experience coordinating testing across multidisciplinary teams and third-party vendors.
    • Strong proficiency with:
      • Azure DevOps
      • ALM
      • Jira
    • Experience working in Agile and/or Hybrid project environments.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 6+ years of experience supporting EHR implementations.
    • Experience with clinical, pharmacy, and billing workflows.
    • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards including:
      • HL7
      • FHIR
      • CCD/A
      • ICD
      • CPT
    • Understanding of:
      • HIPAA
      • Healthcare privacy and security regulations
      • Government healthcare compliance requirements
    • Experience supporting state government or public sector healthcare organizations.
