Quality Assurance Technician

Pay: $18.00/hour
Hours: 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM


We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. This position plays an important role in making sure products meet quality, safety, and customer standards throughout the production and packaging process.

Position Summary


The Quality Assurance Technician examines, measures, and tests materials used in the production and packaging process to ensure finished products meet customer specifications. This position also collects and tests samples, performs quality inspections, and helps ensure employees and production areas remain in compliance with cGMP and food safety requirements.


Key Responsibilities


  • Examine, measure, and test materials used to manufacture and package products.

  • Conduct in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are being met.

  • Collect samples for bacteriological and chemical laboratory testing.

  • Perform appearance and organoleptic testing on finished products.

  • Review and interpret Certificates of Analysis, Certificates of Conformance, and other testing documentation.

  • Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate, detailed quality records.

  • Monitor production processes and evaluate compliance with established quality standards.

  • Follow and help enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), including dress code requirements.

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

  • Report food safety or quality concerns to management and/or the Quality Assurance department.

  • Maintain established quality standards throughout the facility.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or a food-related environment is helpful but not required.

  • Strong and dependable work history preferred.

  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple responsibilities.

  • Basic computer knowledge and skills.

  • Ability to read, understand, and apply customer requirements, cGMP regulations, FDA guidelines, and other applicable standards.

  • Ability to use good judgment and work independently within established procedures.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with employees, supervisors, and other departments.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Physical Requirements


Candidates must be able to:


  • Stand for the entire shift.

  • Regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.

  • Walk, bend, twist, kneel, and use hands and fingers throughout the workday.
