QA/QC Project Manager – Civil & Structural

We are working confidentially with a General Contractor delivering a major data center project in the Mobile, Alabama area and are looking to appoint an experienced QA/QC Project Manager with a strong Civil and Structural background.

This is a full-time, site-based position.

Recent data center construction experience is essential.

The Role

The QA/QC Project Manager will take ownership of quality assurance and quality control across the civil and structural packages, working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, engineers, inspectors and trade partners.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing QA/QC across civil and structural construction packages
  

• Developing and maintaining project quality plans, inspection procedures and documentation
  

• Performing site inspections and quality audits
  

• Monitoring earthwork, grading, underground utilities and site infrastructure
  

• Overseeing quality across concrete, foundations, structural steel and associated structural systems
  

• Reviewing drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs and approved shop drawings
  

• Managing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
  

• Tracking Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and driving corrective actions
  

• Coordinating third-party inspections and material testing
  

• Reviewing testing reports, inspection records and quality documentation
  

• Ensuring work complies with contract documents, specifications, codes and project standards
  

• Supporting punch lists, turnover, closeout and final quality documentation
  

• Working closely with civil and structural subcontractors to resolve quality issues
  

• Maintaining QA/QC logs, reports and project records
  

What We’re Looking For

• Recent data center or mission critical construction experience is essential
  

• Strong civil and structural construction experience
  

• General Contractor or Construction Manager background preferred
  

• Experience in QA/QC, Quality Management, Construction Quality Control or Project Management
  

• Strong knowledge of concrete, foundations, structural steel and civil/sitework
  

• Experience with earthwork, underground utilities, grading and site development
  

• Experience with inspections, ITPs, NCRs and corrective action processes
  

• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and quality requirements
  

• Experience coordinating testing agencies, inspectors and subcontractors
  

• Strong documentation and reporting skills
  

• Experience on large-scale ground-up construction projects
  

• Must be able to work full-time on site in Mobile, Alabama
