Impact of the Role
General Profile
Requires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process
Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines
Works with close supervision
Performs manual tasks according to established procedures
Essential Functions
Verify employees are following standards set by the company, industry regulators, and government agencies.
Inspect products and services during all stages of production.
Write reports to share observations about compliance and recommend changing the systems and processes as necessary.
Calibrate quality control measures to make sure they function properly.
Identify ways to improve existing processes and systems to improve quality and consistency.
Support employees understanding of regulations, follow procedures, and work within systems.
Required Qualifications
Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree
Discipline/Major: Engineering Degree or equivalent training and experience
Knowledge, skills & abilities: Technical expertise. Ability to identify and seek needed information/Research skills. Problem-solving skills. Leadership skills.
Physical Requirements
Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
May need to stand for long periods of time.
Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
May be requested to work a different shift.
Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
Travel Requirements:
Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
