Job Title: QA Automation Engineer

Location: Rochester, NY (Onsite, please look for local candidates)

Duration: 6-12 Months

Rate: $65/hr Max

Years of Experience: 10 - 15 Years

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with extensive experience in UI testing and automation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Python for automation testing, along with a solid understanding of VMware. This role requires effective communication skills to liaise with customers and coordinate with offshore teams while working from the customer office.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright with Python.
• Perform thorough UI testing to ensure high quality software delivery.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and understand testing needs.
• Act as the onsite coordinator, effectively communicating with customers and stakeholders.
• Guide and mentor the offshore testing team, providing support and direction as needed.
• Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution.
• Participate in test planning and strategy discussions to enhance testing processes.
• Continuously improve testing methodologies and practices.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience in automation testing using Python.
• Strong knowledge of UI testing principles and best practices.
• Experience with VMware and its applications in testing environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a customer facing role.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with other automation tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of performance testing and security testing.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10 15 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Proven track record of successful automation testing projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
