QA Automation Engineer

The successful candidate will partner with business stakeholders, developers, business analysts, and quality engineering teams to ensure high-quality software delivery across Fixed Income and Derivatives trading workflows. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated testing solutions to validate the functionality, performance, stability, and accuracy of trading and financial applications.

Job Description:

• We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to support Front Office Sales & Trading technology platforms.
• This role is responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated testing solutions to validate the functionality, performance, stability, and accuracy of trading and financial applications.
• The successful candidate will partner with business stakeholders, developers, business analysts, and quality engineering teams to ensure high-quality software delivery across Fixed Income and Derivatives trading workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts for Front Office trading applications.
• Create and enhance API, UI, functional, regression, and integration test automation suites.
• Validate trading workflows, order management processes, market data functionality, and transaction processing capabilities.
• Collaborate with traders, business analysts, developers, and project teams to understand business requirements and define testing strategies.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, document findings, and work with development teams to support issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and testing documentation.
• Ensure adequate test coverage for business processes, application functionality, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Support continuous integration and continuous testing initiatives within the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to the enhancement and optimization of automation frameworks, testing standards, and quality engineering best practices.
• Perform data validation and database testing activities as required.
• Support release validation, production readiness testing, and post-deployment verification activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, or quality engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience developing automated tests using Python.
• Experience with UI automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium or equivalent technologies.
• Experience testing APIs, web services, and data integrations.
• Experience working within Agile software development environments.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and defect management processes.
• Ability to analyze complex business and technical requirements and translate them into automated test solutions.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is 65$/hr -70$/hr. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
