We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Architect with extensive expertise in Java-based test automation, banking applications, and enterprise testing environments. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of QA experience, including 3+ years in an architect role, driving automation strategy, framework development, and quality engineering practices across core banking platforms, distributed systems, and mainframe environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.
• Build and maintain Java-based automation solutions using Selenium, Playwright, Rest Assured, and custom frameworks.
• Validate end-to-end banking business processes across distributed and mainframe systems.
• Define QE strategy, standards, and best practices across multiple projects.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Jenkins.
• Lead API and microservices testing initiatives to improve coverage and release quality.
• Conduct root cause analysis, defect triage, and support issue resolution.
• Drive Shift-Left and Shift-Right testing methodologies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, architects, and QA teams to ensure quality delivery.
• Mentor QA engineers and establish automation governance across teams.
• Ensure compliance with banking and regulatory standards including PCI-DSS, PIPEDA, and OSFI requirements.
• Support testing initiatives for digital banking, lending, payments, and core banking platforms.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Software QA and Testing experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a QA/Test Automation Architect.
• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Selenium WebDriver
  • Playwright or Cypress
  • Rest Assured
  • API Automation Testing
  • TestNG/JUnit
• Expertise in designing enterprise-level automation frameworks.
• Strong experience with API, microservices, integration, and functional testing.
• Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD implementations using Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of defect lifecycle management and quality metrics.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mainframe testing and test automation.
• Understanding of batch processing, data flows, interfaces, and distributed systems.
• Exposure to core banking applications and financial services environments.
• Experience with Appium mobile automation.
• Knowledge of BDD/TDD frameworks.
• Familiarity with performance and security testing concepts.
