Description

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing professional services firm, for an entry level QA Analyst to join their team on a fully remote basis. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented early-career professional to build a career in software quality while working alongside experienced engineers and business analysts on projects that directly impact client-facing products.

Day to day, you will spend your time writing and executing test cases, digging into bug reports, and collaborating with developers to make sure issues get resolved quickly and correctly. People who thrive in this role are naturally curious, enjoy breaking things to understand how they work, communicate clearly in writing, and take pride in catching the small details that others miss.

Responsibilities

  • Execute manual test cases across web and internal applications
  • Document and track defects using the team bug tracking system
  • Collaborate with developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and verify bug fixes
  • Review requirements and user stories to identify testable acceptance criteria
  • Participate in daily standups and sprint planning meetings
  • Assist in developing and maintaining test plans and test scripts
  • Perform regression testing prior to each release
  • Support user acceptance testing sessions with internal stakeholders
  • Maintain clear and organized testing documentation
  • Flag usability and quality concerns to the product and engineering teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Basic understanding of software development and testing lifecycles
  • Ability to write clear, concise bug reports and test documentation
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Familiarity with bug tracking or test management tools is a plus
  • Basic SQL knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
