Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Software Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for validating the quality and production readiness of software solutions by translating business requirements into effective test strategies, executing comprehensive testing, and providing actionable quality insights. This role embraces an AI-first quality engineering mindset, leveraging Generative AI, Testing Agents, and automation technologies to accelerate test design and execution, improve test coverage, streamline defect investigation, and enhance quality insights. The analyst collaborates across Product, Development, Data, and Business teams to ensure requirements are met, risks are identified early, and software releases are delivered with confidence, quality, and efficiency.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review business, functional, and technical requirements to ensure clarity, completeness, and testability.
- Design, author, maintain, and execute test scenarios, test cases, test suites, and related test artifacts within Azure DevOps (ADO), ensuring end-to-end traceability between requirements, tests, defects, and releases.
- Execute functional, integration, system, regression, exploratory, and data validation testing as appropriate.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects in a clear, reproducible manner through resolution.
- Analyze test results and defect trends to identify risks, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve testing processes, automation coverage, and overall quality engineering effectiveness.
- Create, configure, and leverage AI-powered Testing Agents, reusable Skills, and Generative AI tools to support requirements analysis, test design, test data generation, defect investigation, documentation, and quality insights while applying appropriate human oversight and validation.
- Proactively communicate project status, quality risks, dependencies, and issues to stakeholders and leadership.
- Monitor and manage assigned work items, testing activities, and release deliverables to ensure timely execution.
- Produce accurate, actionable, and timely test reports, quality metrics, and release readiness assessments.
- Effectively prioritize and execute work in fast-paced Agile delivery environments with competing priorities.
- Research and evaluate emerging testing technologies, AI capabilities, quality engineering practices, and industry trends to continuously improve testing outcomes.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- 2+ years of experience in development or QA
- Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for test case management, defect tracking, execution, and reporting.
- Experience leveraging Generative AI, AI-powered Testing Agents, and reusable Skills, or similar AI-assisted technologies within the software development and testing lifecycle.
- Experienced in functional test design, execution, and analysis.
- Thorough understanding of development and testing life cycles (SDLC/STLC).
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Experience with browser compatibility testing
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Applied Mathematics
OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with strict attention to detail.
- Creativity in proactively developing approaches to problems and recommending actions to management, or implementing the recommendations.

- Ability to communicate using both technical and non-technical "layman's" terms to an audience.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- QAI, ISTQB, CSTP, CSTAS, CTFL or CTAL Certification.
- Knowledge of industry standard test practices and strategies.
- Ability to create and execute SQL queries to support data validation, troubleshooting, and quality analysis.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent modern automation tools.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar AI-assisted development and testing tools.
- Identify repeatable testing activities and convert them into reusable automation assets, AI-assisted workflows, and quality engineering accelerators.
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Experience with mobile application testing across multiple technologies such as, but not limited to; J2ME, Android, Symbian, .NET Technology.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations a plus.
