Job Role: QA Analyst III
Location: Menlo Park, CA (Hybrid-3 days onsite)
Duration: 6 months
As an QA Contractor, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality by executing and improving test processes, collaborating with engineering and QA leads, and supporting the delivery of high-quality features. This role is designed for individuals who can operate independently, contribute to test strategy, and take ownership of execution within defined scopes.
Responsibilities:
- Execute manual and automated test cases for new and existing features.
- Reproduce, document, and triage bugs; work closely with engineering to drive resolution.
- Write and maintain clear, comprehensive test cases and test plans.
- Support QA leads in driving test strategy and test plan creation.
- Create and maintain dashboards to track quality metrics and test progress.
- Conduct Product Audits with QA leads guidance to analyze/improve QA test coverage.
- Conduct Bug Audits with QA leads guidance to analyse/identify product areas that need improvement.
- Provide Release readiness support for Medium/small size features.
- Lead test execution for small to medium-sized projects or features.
- Attend status meetings and represent QA in the absence of QA leads.
- Work onsite as needed to collaborate directly with engineering and QA teams, ensuring product rigor.
- Support stealth projects which require a higher level of diligence in execution.
- Run and lead innovative testing techniques like benchmarking testing, battery testing,
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in software quality assurance or a related field.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience writing and executing test cases and test plans. Both manual and automation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with dash boarding tools and quality metrics is a plus.
- Comfortable working onsite and engaging directly with cross-functional teams.
- Expertise with python, JavaScript, SQL or similar.
Must-Have Skills:
- Manual automation QA (strong fundamentals)
- Technical skills: ability to work with/around Python, JavaScript, SQL (or similar)
- Strong communication independence in a fast-paced environment
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Dashboarding quality metrics experience
- Benchmarking / battery testing exposure (called out in responsibilities)
- Audit experience (product audits / bug audits)
