Job Description
We are seeking a Python Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, SQL, and data engineering for server-side applications and a proven ability to design, build, and deploy analytical and machine learning solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and support Python-based applications and analytical solutions.
- Extract, cleanse, transform, and analyze structured and unstructured data.
- Develop and enhance predictive and prescriptive models using statistical, ML, and AI techniques.
- Support implementation of ML solutions across development and production environments.
- Apply object-oriented programming and engineering standards to deliver quality solutions.
- Collaborate with business, technology, and data teams to translate requirements into solutions.
- Contribute to design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment activities.
- Participate in model development, monitoring, and performance evaluation.
- Utilize Python and SQL to develop scalable analytical solutions; work with Spark or PySpark as needed.
- Develop and maintain automation and scripts using Linux and shell scripting.
- Implement unit testing and support test-driven development practices.
- Document technical solutions, methodologies, and processes.
- Stay current with ML, DL, LLMs, and GenAI trends and tools.
- Adhere to technology risk, security, compliance, and control requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with Spark or PySpark, and frameworks such as TensorFlow or similar.
- Experience building applications and analytical solutions in Python.
- Familiarity with ML concepts, model development, and AI technologies.
- Knowledge of Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with effective communication.
- 2 5 years of experience in software engineering, data science, ML, or advanced analytics.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to GenAI and LLM-based solutions.
- Experience with distributed computing technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, or Spark.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or risk management.
- Familiarity with credit risk, capital markets, financial instruments, or quantitative modeling.
- Understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and cloud-based development environments.
