    Description


    A global financial-services organization is seeking a Python Engineer to design, build, test, and deploy scalable software solutions. This engineer will work across back-end applications, APIs, automation, database integrations, and data-driven systems that support a range of technical and business functions.

    The position requires a hands-on developer who can collaborate with cross-functional teams, translate requirements into reliable software, and contribute throughout the development lifecycle. The engineer will help improve code quality, application reliability, testing practices, and deployment processes.

    RESPONSIBILITIES


    • Develop and maintain scalable Python applications, services, and scripts.
    • Design, build, and support RESTful APIs.
    • Integrate applications with databases, external services, and third-party APIs.
    • Partner with technical and business stakeholders to define requirements.
    • Write efficient, reusable, testable, and well-documented code.
    • Perform unit testing, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
    • Participate in code reviews and software quality initiatives.
    • Support continuous integration, deployment, and release processes.

    Role Requirements:
    • Strong professional experience developing applications with Python.
    • Experience building back-end services or server-side applications.
    • Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs.
    • Experience integrating applications with relational databases.
    • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
    • Knowledge of common data structures and algorithms.
    • Experience using Git or another version control system.
    • Experience writing unit tests and debugging application issues.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and within an Agile team.
    • Ability to work onsite in Charlotte three days per week.

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
    • Experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django, or a similar Python framework.
    • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
    • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
    • Experience with front-end technologies.
    • Banking or financial-services industry experience.
