Introduction

Client is seeking Software Engineers to join its enterprise CI/CD and Developer Tooling organization. The team is responsible for managing and supporting CI/CD tooling used by engineering teams across the enterprise. This is a backend-focused software engineering and platform engineering role involving development, automation, cloud infrastructure tooling, CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting, and internal developer support.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with Python development or automation.
  • Experience with AWS CDK.
  • Experience with Boto3 or AWS SDKs.
  • Hands-on Jenkins administration or operational management experience.
  • Experience with Groovy and Jenkins Pipeline.
  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Experience with Java or Go.
  • Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
  • Experience with Amazon ECS.
  • Experience with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and Fargate.
  • Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Experience supporting enterprise developer platforms or internal engineering tools.
  • Experience with vulnerability management, compliance requirements, and software/platform upgrades.
  • Experience working with AWS cloud services.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience with Jenkins.
  • Experience developing or supporting backend applications, automation tools, or developer platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple technologies and learn new tools quickly.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Must have previous client experience working for this customer in the past 5 years.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with vulnerability management, compliance requirements, and software/platform upgrades.
  • Experience working with AWS cloud services.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain software components supporting enterprise CI/CD platforms.
  • Develop automation and backend tooling primarily using Python.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and related technologies.
  • Troubleshoot pipeline failures, deployment issues, automation problems, and platform-related incidents.
  • Work with AWS services and cloud automation frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions for standardized infrastructure provisioning.
  • Work extensively with AWS CDK and AWS SDKs such as Boto3.
  • Support and maintain Jenkins environments, including pipeline configuration, troubleshooting, and operational maintenance.
  • Develop Jenkins pipelines and automation using Groovy where required.
  • Work with container technologies such as Docker and Amazon ECS.
  • Support AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, and Fargate.
  • Address vulnerabilities, security requirements, compliance-related upgrades, and platform maintenance activities.
  • Investigate issues reported by internal engineering teams and provide technical solutions or workarounds.
  • Identify and fix bugs within internal developer tools and automation platforms.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, platform engineers, DevOps teams, and other technology groups.
  • Participate in rotating assignments involving customer support, debugging, platform development, and maintenance.
  • Document technical solutions and contribute to continuous improvement of enterprise developer tooling.
