Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful / GraphQL APIs using Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• Write efficient, reusable, and well-structured business logic following clean-code principles and established design patterns
• Model, query, and optimize relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and, where relevant, NoSQL stores (MongoDB, Redis)
• Implement authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth 2.0, session-based auth) and follow secure coding practices
• Integrate with third-party APIs, payment gateways, message queues, and cloud services as required
• Design database schemas and manage migrations, ensuring data integrity and performance at scale
• Build and maintain data-processing pipelines, ETL jobs, and scheduled / background tasks (e.g. Celery, APScheduler, cron)
• Write scripts and automation to streamline internal workflows and operational tasks
• Profile, debug, and optimize application performance, memory usage, and database queries
• Handle large datasets efficiently and apply appropriate caching and concurrency strategies
• Work with libraries such as pandas, NumPy, or requests where data manipulation or integration is required
• Write unit and integration tests using pytest or unittest and maintain healthy test coverage
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to uphold code quality and shared standards
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support deployment of applications to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, performing root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence
• Write clear technical documentation for APIs, modules, and system architecture
• Collaborate in Agile / Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Continuously research and evaluate new tools, libraries, and best practices to improve productivity and product quality

• 2+ years of experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
