Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager

Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager for a fast-growing photonics and semiconductor manufacturer which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in procurement and supplier negotiations looking to further their career in chip fabrication.

• Build the purchasing and supply chain function from the ground up, including procurement, planning, and inventory processes
• Develop supplier resiliency and backup sources to minimize downtime while preserving cash
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and long-term supply agreements; manage supplier relationships and performance
• Set inventory targets and reorder points, stocking extra only for critical, repeat points of failure
• Track KPIs such as downtime reduction, on-time delivery, and inventory accuracy

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; 7+ years of procurement and supply chain experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Semiconductor, chip fabrication, or photonics (PLC/PIC) manufacturing experience; e-vehicle battery experience considered
• Vendor negotiation and relationship-building experience with $12-15M in spend, KPI-driven downtime reduction, and stable tenure

Bonus Qualifications

• Ability to manage a team within 1-2 years
